Gold, silver and bronze medals are trophies that several of the rides in the World Cup Grand Prix already own. Isabell Werth and Warum Nicht was the last equipage and they did brilliantly. Warum Nicht was impressive with massive pace and very few mistakes which resulted in a score of 77.625%. Judge Wim Ernes from the Nederlands explained at the press conference “that the high score also were a result of taking chances that went well during the ride”. In second place Monica Theodorescu and Whisper did very well with 73.542%, especially extended trot and halfpasses were rewarded with 8 and 9 points. On third place came Anky van Grunsven and IPS Painted Black, the equipage did not quite show the Olympic level and mistakes in flying changes and the canter resulted in a total score of 72.875%. At the press conference Anky van Grunsven also expressed mixed feelings with her ride, “some exercises went well and other did not, so I left the arena with mixed feelings”. All riders agreed that this World Cup qualifier probably will be the most difficult with the strongest field
