Belgian victory in one-star DDE Cup at the JBK Horse Shows

16/10/2009: The Danes were far behind in the one-star show jumping Big Tour, DDE Cup, at the JBK Horse Shows where the Belgian Oliver Philipaerts took first place. Englishman Emily Davies came second while German Dirk Viebrock came third.   Oliver Philipaerts won Oliver Philipaerts, the son of world renowned Belgian rider Ludo Philipaerts, had a fast and flawsless round in the DDE Cup at the JBK Horse Shows. In 50.81 seconds he and Coconut 27 completed the course of jumps varying between 135 and 140 cm. In doing so Oliver Philipaerts secured his participation in the Grand Prix.   Emily Davies came second English rider Emily Davies also had a flawless round on Cougar in the DDE Cup. At 53.78 seconds the equipage finished several seconds behind the winner, but the result still qualified for the second place.   German Dirk Viebrock came third Dirk Viebrock and his horse Armani 140 from Germany spent 54.93 seconds on a flawless round in the DDE Cup. The equipage thus finished third.   Best Dane came fifth The Danish rider with the most success in the DDE Cup was Jill Thomassen. On Cherie she made it round the course in 56.30 seconds.
